The Brief
This opportunity exists within our Internal IT Backend team. Your role will be based in Tallinn, however, you will be supporting the business globally. You will be administering various Linux and Windows based servers. You will also assist in greater systems implementations, such as planning migrations and deployments. You will work closely with developers developing internal tools for Skype.

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily administration of Windows and Linux based servers.
• Proactive/reactive troubleshooting tasks.
• Participation in Internal Tools development projects.
• Creation of documentation for Systems administration purposes.
• Maintain software and hardware inventories.

Pre-requisite Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• Experience of administration mission critical servers under high load.
• Ability to perform in high stress and crisis situations.
• IT security awareness.

Desirable functional / technical skills:

• Confident in Windows administration.
• Good Linux administration skills.
• Technical experience of Apache, Tomcat, Postgres, Java.
• Mac and virtual machine administration experience would be a plus.
• Basic knowledge of computer clusters would be a plus.
